GlobalRoam Group Limited proudly announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, GlobalRoam Pte Ltd has been selected by Advanced Info Service Public Company (AIS), one of the largest telecommunication operators in Thailand with about 26.8 million subscribers, to launch a new service, ConnectTalk, which allows mobile phone users to connect to the online world.

Starting from now till 30 April 2009, AIS is offering a trial period where subscribers to the service are able to use ConnectTalk to call or send SMS to anyone, anywhere in the world via AIS Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) softphones at local rates. In this way, ConnectTalk brings to users the convenience of being able to communicate with their online acquaintances from any location without the need to be online or for any additional equipment or software. It also saves significant costs for those who need to make overseas calls. The commercial launch for this service is expected to be on 15 May 2009.

Built by GlobalRoam under the product name gCross using the company's patented technology, ConnectTalk is a network- and operator- neutral VOIP voice communication service that everyone can enjoy. ConnectTalk extends to consumers an attractive suite of value added features to meet their various needs, including phone to PC calling, missed call notification, Caller ID, SMS as well as Fax/ Voicemail to Email services.
