GlobalRoam is the technology provider for StarHub's Advanced Multimedia Services' pfingoTALK myGlobal Number Private service

Singapore, 7 September 2007 - GlobalRoam Group Limited proudly announces that it is the technology provider for StarHub's Advanced Multimedia Services' new pfingoTALK myGlobal Number Private service which enables pfingoTALK users to manage their calls easily and cost-effectively. GlobalRoam's patent-pending SmartMap is the revolutionary technology that powers pfingoTALK myGlobal Number Private.

Users can obtain a US, UK or Australia phone number and allow up to three contacts per country to reach them through pfingoTALK. The callers pay their respective local calling rates when they dial the myGlobal Number Private, avoiding hefty IDD charges.

pfingoTALK has been designed to provide end-users with a consistent and user-friendly experience for voice communication across the mobile phone and PC. The pfingoTALK client comes in two versions, which allows beyond traditional PC-to-PC calling. Call termination over the Internet can be done to any phone number around the world directly from the pfingoTALK softphone client on a broadband connected PC or a SIP-based Wi-Fi mobile phone via a Wi-Fi hotspot. pfingoTALK was introduced in Singapore for a public trial in April 2007.

Unlike other VoIP services in the market, pfingoTALK users in Singapore get their own '3' series phone number which they can keep for life, no matter which country they are based in. Regardless of their location, users ca n make calls to other pfingoTALK numbers. Making phone calls to any destination, local or overseas is also made possible with pfingoTALK. With the new pfingoTALK value-added service, myGlobal Number Private, users can now also obtain overseas numbers that are linked to their pfingoTALK accounts so that friends and family in those countries can dial these numbers and pay only the respective local call rates. Now they can finally 'Pay Local, Talk Global!' Users can also send and receive faxes on the go via the pfingoTALK softphone. With pfingoTALK, communication is made even simpler and more complete based on various individuals' needs.
