GlobalRoam to Showcase New Services in CommunicAsia2005

Singapore, 13th June, 2005 – GlobalRoam revealed that it will showcase its new upcoming products during CommunicAsia2005, on the 14 th to 17 th June. The exhibition offers an opportunity for GlobalRoam’s existing Partners and interested parties a sneak look at the new range of services which has not yet been released to the public.

A new service to be revealed is WorldVOIP, which allows users to make either free or virtually local cost calls from internet-enabled devices such as their laptops. Because many business travelers journey with their laptops, these services will useful in helping to save on roaming costs. With prices at near local rates, travelers can pay as little as a few cents for an overseas call.

Within WorldVOIP, users will be able to choose from amongst the different services available. Such services include IP-IP, which allows users to make calls for free if calling to another person on their computer and IP-Conference, which helps users to make conference calls to ordinary phones that do not require internet connection. Other services are available under WorldVOIP.

Moreover, show visitors can check out WorldNet Dial-Up, which had been revamped to also allow prepaid users to use Internet roaming when they travel. With Point-of-Presences (PoPs) in over 34 major countries, users can expect to have easy internet access wherever they can get access to a telephone line.

Apart from GlobalRoam demonstrating the use of the services, free accounts will be given out throughout the course of the exhibition for show visitors to try the services themselves. The trial accounts to be given out include test account for only WorldVOIP, as well as accounts for the entire GlobalCredit suite of services which include internet roaming, mobile roaming, conference roaming and WorldVOIP.

GlobalRoam staff will also be available to discuss Partnership opportunities to interested Parties in collaborating to provide end users with roaming services.
